Morrison: International break crucial for my recovery

Midfielder hoping to regain full fitness

JAMES Morrison will take full advantage of a break from both Club and country duty to focus on returning to full fitness.

On Saturday the midfielder made his first start since being forced off the field at Selhurst Park in early October through an ankle injury.

With Scotland not playing in the November international break and Albion not back in action for over a week, the 29-year-old will be working hard on the training pitch to top up fitness levels and regain sharpness.

“This break will be nice for me to try and get some fitness and sharpness back after my injury,” said Morrison.

“I’ll be working hard to hopefully make sure I am back in the sort of form that I was in at the start of the season.

“The injury was a weird one, I just planted my foot at Crystal Palace and something happened to it.

“I have been struggling to get it better.

“This break is going to be crucial for me to get my body right in order to be able to go again when we face Arsenal.”
