Winger homes in on Baggies scoresheet

ALBION winger James McClean is, in his own words, “delighted” with his performances for the Club since arriving in the summer from Wigan.

However, the Republic of Ireland international is keen to add goals to his game.

The Baggies man has impressed during his short time at The Hawthorns, claiming a handful of man of the match awards in the process.

But McClean is yet to break his duck for his new team and wants to start contributing to Albion’s goal tally.

He said: “I have managed to get a couple of assists but unfortunately I haven’t been able to grab my first goal yet.

“I would obviously like to add goals to my game, every footballer wants to score goals.

“I’m delighted with how I am playing at the moment.

“If I am being honest I didn’t have the best of starts and I was really disappointed with my debut when I was pulled off at half-time against Manchester City.

“I think I have gone from strength to strength since then and hopefully I am repaying the faith the manager has shown in me by playing me every week.”
