Andre Wright (2) and Kyle Edwards on target for Baggies
A brace from Andre Wright helped Albion Under-18’s to a 3-0 win over Spurs on Saturday.
Kyle Edwards was also on the scoresheet for the Baggies, who ensured their final home game of the 2014/15 season ended in victory.
Aaron Danks’ men took the lead on the stroke of half-time after a well-worked move, which resulted in Wright finishing off Chay Scrivens’ centre.
Albion doubled their lead straight from kick-off in the second-half, Wright pinching the ball off the toes off a Spurs player before producing a brilliant piece of individual skill to beat two defenders and fire the ball into the net.
The hosts added a third 20 minutes from time when Kyle Edwards headed home following a blistering counter-attack after a Spurs corner, which saw Baggies touch the ball just nine times in 12 seconds.
Youth Team boss, Aaron Danks, was delighted with his side’s display.
He said: “The boys were excellent on Saturday.
“They worked really hard, we played a system that demanded them to run a lot but they coped with it brilliantly.
“It was a very competitive game but we were always on top and thoroughly deserved the victory.
“We played some lovely football, created some excellent chances and showed what we are all about as a team.”
