Freebets crunch midfielder’s stats

FREEBETS.COM analyse Craig Gardner’s contribution during his first season at The Hawthorns, after the midfielder arrived from Sunderland in the summer.

The 28-year-old has played in a number of positions across the midfield and has contributed in both attacking and defensive areas.

Gardner enjoys a pop at goal from long-range, with 28 of his 52 attempts coming from outside the penalty area.

He has scored three league goals so far – his first was a memorable one, the winner against Villa in a 1-0 win back in December at The Hawthorns.

Albion’s number eight also notched in consecutive games in April against Leicester and Crystal Palace.

Gardner has provided two assists, a cross for Brown Ideye to head home against Stoke and a clever pass to play Saido Berahino in on goal against West Ham in the FA Cup.

In total, the midfielder has made 21 key passes leading to shooting opportunities for his team-mates.

At the other end, Gardner ranks as the seventh highest midfielder in the Premier League for successful tackles with a total of 79.

He has also made 46 interceptions to win back possession for his side.

The Baggies man has been fouled 38 times, which is the 37th highest in the top flight.
