ALBION have been nominated for four categories at the inaugural Facebook Football Awards, including Content of the Year for our exclusive Astle Day video.
The video drew widespread praise from supporters of various clubs up and down the country, both current and former players, respected figures involved in the game as well as the wider media.
The warmth with which the video has been received on Facebook is highlighted by the 2.2million people it has reached to date – a figure unprecedented for Albion since we first joined the social media platform in 2011.
If the special video message meant as much to you as it did to us, if you shed a tear at the images of Jeff scoring for Albion or smiled when first learning about Astle Day – YOUR vote is needed. Click here
Also nominated for the Fan of the Year award is lifelong Albion supporter Les James who, after eight loyal decades supporting the club, very rarely misses a match.
The 89-year-old war veteran is a season ticket holder at The Hawthorns to this very day and is a familiar face to Albion fans who travel both home and away in support of their team.
Albion are also up for Club of the Year and Tony Pulis Manager of the Year, likewise for all top-flight teams.
In the remaining categories, fans can vote for Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and XI of the Year.
