These are a few of my favourite things – Saido Berahino

24 March 2015

Zidane, Premier League goals, Dubai and much more

THIS week we put our top scorer Saido Berahino under the spotlight.

So, Saido, what is your favourite…?

Moment in football?

That would have to be my first goal in the Barclays Premier League away at Manchester United last season when we won 2-1.

Goal you have ever scored?

The goal that I scored against Manchester United at home this season. My goal put us 2-1 up, and it was a great moment.

Goal you have ever seen?

Zinedine Zidane’s goal in the 2002 Champions League final against Bayer Leverkusen at Hampden Park. Without doubt.

Game that you have been involved in?

I didn’t play I was on the bench, but England beating Scotland 3-1 at Celtic Park earlier this season.

Player of all time?

Zinedine Zidane.

Away ground?

Old Trafford.

Football kit owned as a boy?

I had a Manchester United kit when I was younger, so that one.

Pair of boots?

The very first ones I had were an old pair of Adidas Predator’s, so I would have to say those ones.

World Cup memory?

Ronaldo’s toe poke goal against Turkey in the 2002 World Cup semi-final.

Childhood memory of football?

Just kicking a ball around which was made of plastic in the roads back in Burundi.

Childhood memory?

Being able to be out and playing football with my mates and not being stuck on a PlayStation or an Xbox.

Lesson at school?

PE.

Animal?

Dogs.

Colour?

Blue.

Drink?

Water.

Meal?

Chicken and rice.

Restaurant?

San Carlo in Birmingham.

Chocolate bar?

KitKat.

Holiday destination?

Dubai.

Movie?

I watched Fury recently with Brad Pitt in. That was decent.

TV show?

I don’t really watch a lot of TV to be honest. If I had to say one it would be one of the reality shows. I’ll go for Nellyville, which just documents his life and stuff like that.

Sport other than football?

Basketball.

Computer game?

FIFA 15. I have heard that Darren Moore has been saying that he is the best. I am way better than him. He might think he is the best when he plays against his kids, but not if played against me!

Thing to do to relax away from football?

Just chilling out with my family and playing some FIFA.

Song?

Anything Hip Hop is good for me.

Band/Group/Artist?

Rick Ross.

Car?

I like my Range Rover.

Book or magazine?

Four Four Two.

Foreign football team?

Real Madrid.

And finally… your favourite moment in an Albion top?

That would have to be when we beat Hull City 1-0 in January. I scored the winner in the last few minutes and it was a great feeling.
