Internationals update: Albion players in action

23 March 2015

Host of friendlies and Euro 2016 qualifiers

THE latest international break is upon us and so what better time to have a look at those Albion players who will be representing their respective nations over the coming weeks.

Albion and Scotland captain Darren Fletcher has been selected for Scotland alongside fellow midfielder James Morrison. The Baggies duo face a friendly against Northern Ireland (25/03) before a 2016 European Championship qualifier versus Gibraltar (29/03).

Chris Brunt, Gareth McAuley and Chris Baird have all been included in Northern Ireland's squad, meaning Albion could have as many as five representatives on the pitch when they come up against Scotland in Glasgow (25/03). They then face a Euro qualifier in Belfast against Finland (29/03).

Fresh from his Asian Cup success, Jason Davidson has been selected to represent the Socceroos in their European friendlies against Germany (25/03) and Macedonia (30/03).

Having secured third place at the Africa Cup of Nations, Youssouf Mulumbu’s DR Congo are back in action and face Iraq in two international friendlies (28/03 and 31/03).

Albion strikers Saido Berahino and Brown Ideye were selected for England Under-21s and Nigeria respectively but have been withdrawn due to injury. To read more, click here.

Good luck to all Baggies players in action!
