Interesting facts

The first ever meeting between the two sides was on Saturday, April 18, 1896. The game was given the title of ‘test match’, and finished 1-1.

Albion claimed a 1-1 draw at Manchester City in 2004 without having a shot on target. Richard Dunne’s own goal in the 85th minute ensured the Baggies returned back to The Midlands with a share of the spoils.

In four of the last five Barclays Premier League encounters, both teams have scored.

Albion have lost just two of their last ten league matches.

Joleon Lescott could face his former club. The defender won two Premier League titles during his time with City.

They said: Fernando – “All that matters on Saturday is that we win, we can’t afford to drop any more points.”
