Albion man set to join up with first-team

STEPHANE Sessegnon completed 70 minutes of Albion's U21 friendly fixture against Hereford, scoring the fourth goal in a 6-0 victory.

The Baggies swept aside the newly-formed club in last night's game at Edgar Street.

The Benin international was drafted in to play while he awaits visa clearance to join up with Tony Pulis' first-team squad in the US.

Andre Wright scored Albion's opener, before Samir Nabi grabbed the second.

Goals three and four were scored by Tyler Roberts and Sessegnon respectively, before an own goal and a penalty by an U21 trialist completed the scoring.

There was early drama for Albion before the kick-off - Jonathan Leko was forced to withdraw from the starting line-up after suffering an injury during the warm-up. He was replaced by Tahvon Campbell.

Albion line-up: Ross, Ezewele, A Trialist, Howkins, McCourt, Elbouzedi, S Nabi, Sessegnon, Campbell, Edwards, Wright. Subs: Sweeney, Barbir, Field, Smith, Roberts, A Trialist.
