Squad complete tough bike ride on first day
ALBION players were given an instant taster of what to expect from pre-season.
No sooner had they unpacked their bags after arriving at their base for the next seven nights, the Schloss Hotel Pichlarn in Irdning, they were whisked off on a six-mile bike ride in the scorching heat.
The Throstles ventured down the face of the Alps to check out their training pitch before riding back up to the hotel.
With many going without competition over the summer break, the players took it upon themselves to turn the journey back to the hotel into a race.
Scotland international midfielder, James Morrison, was the clear winner.
It was then straight into the outdoor pool – with the Alps providing a stunning setting in the background – for a cool down.
The players are due to complete three training sessions on Friday, including running, strength and conditioning and football exercises.
