It’s welcome back to TLCBET – and the old blue and white stripes
West Bromwich Albion today reveal next season’s home kit – and the logo which will adorn it following a club record sponsorship deal.
We are delighted to welcome Asian betting company TLCBET as the Club’s Principal Partner for the 2015-16 season.
Our new partners are old acquaintances of the Baggies, having previously signed an Asian Betting Partner deal in the 2013/14 season.
And they return at the same time as another familiar friend - the traditional blue and white striped home kit which is available on pre-order today and officially on sale in Club stores from July 17. The kit also features white shorts and socks.
TLCBET is a leading Asian gaming operator offering online sports betting and casino games. The brand has enjoyed a strong following in China and is widely commended for being innovative in adopting “out of the box” marketing strategies in their customer engagement.
Apart from the bilingual shirt branding, the deal extends to a wide range of activities and rights, all aimed strategically to propel the awareness of TLCBET and Albion in key markets.
Adrian Wright, Albion’s Sales and Marketing Director says: “We welcome TLCBET to the partner family. Our quest to secure the right partner to align with the club’s aspirations for global brand recognition was very important; it was clear from the outset of our talks that TLCBET experience and reach in Asia will assist the club in being able to deliver these objectives.”
And speaking on the partnership, Mike Chong, Brand Director of TLCBET said: “We are absolutely delighted to have renewed our partnership with West Bromwich Albion, with our first ever shirt sponsorship deal.”
“Following our success in the Far East, this deal amplifies our ambitions to put the TLCBET brand onto the global stage. This collaboration will be mutually beneficial and we are confident that we can help promote West Bromwich Albion to our customers in China.
“Similarly, we hope to be able to engage a global audience, starting with local communities in the UK, through our affiliation with West Bromwich Albion.”
Additional kit information
Albion’s new Adidas shirt will be a big hit with those fans eager for a traditional stripe to return to the design.
Last season’s pinstripe provoked much debate and controversy - but proved to be one of the club’s best sellers of modern times.
However - and for those supporters who like to be precise about these matters - next season’s home shirt comes with a 6cm wide dark blue and white Baggies stripe.
The ‘Climacool’ lightweight fabric also contains a splash of contemporary power-red on the shoulders and – always a hit with the fans – white shorts and socks.
A full range of the new kit can be seen here (@wbashop), with the adult shirt retailing at £49.99. A full price guide can be found below.
The shirt is available immediately for pre-order and will be in the Albion store from July 17.
But from tomorrow we will be telling fans how they can win a shirt every day between now and then in our special Sweet16 competition – to mark the 16 days before the new design is available over the counter.
