Under-18s beaten at home by Fulham

26 January 2015

Ethan Ross sent off in first-half

ETHAN Ross was sent off for Albion’s Under-18s, as they suffered a disappointing 4-0 defeat at home to Fulham on Saturday in the Barclays U18 Premier League.

The Baggies’ No.1 was dismissed in the 43rd minute after bringing down Aaron Redford inside the penalty area, before Foday Nabay slotted the resulting penalty past substitute goalkeeper Evan Moran.

The visitors doubled their lead five minutes after the break through a second spot-kick, but this time it was Josh Walker who stepped up, with the forward making no mistake from 12-yards.

Walker then added a third moments later with a neat finish at the near post, and Luca De La Torre then compounded Albion’s misery late in the second-half, heading home from 8-yards-out.

Albion: Ross, Fitzwater, Hallahan, Sweeney, Gregory, McCourt, Cater (Moran 43’), Gannon, Roberts, Elbouzedi (Campbell 54’), Miller (Smith 73’).
Unused Subs: Edwards, Field.
