Pulis names strong side for FA Cup tie

3 January 2015

Seven players included from West Ham draw

NEWLY-APPOINTED head coach Tony Pulis named a strong Albion XI for his first game in charge as non-league Gateshead were the visitors to The Hawthorns in the FA Cup third round (3pm ko).

In came fit-again pair Sebastien Pocognoli and Victor Anichebe, defender Craig Dawson and goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.

Despite officially taking his first game at the helm, Pulis has again – like he did at Upton Park – vowed to watch the game from the stands in order to get a better view of proceedings.
