ALBION midfielder Liam O’Neil has extended his loan with League One side Scunthorpe United until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has played six times for the Iron since joining on November, 17, and scored his first professional goal during their 2-1 home win over Rochdale on Boxing Day.

O’Neil’s initial loan was due to end on December, 14, before a deal was struck between the two sides to extend his stay until January, 11.

The second loan extension will see The Baggies’ academy graduate remain with Scunthorpe until May 24, with Albion unable to call him back before that date.

We would like to wish Liam all the best for the rest of the season with Scunthorpe United.
