Albion continue re-structure in recruitment
West Bromwich Albion today announce further changes to the club’s footballing operation with the departure of two senior figures.
Stuart White is leaving his post as Head of (UK) Scouting, ending a 15-year association with the club which saw him spend nine-and-a-half years working in a part-time role before taking up his most recent position in July 2009.
Tony Spearing, Albion’s Head of European Scouting / Recruitment over six and a half years, also departs.
Both leave by mutual consent and as part of a re-structure of Albion’s recruitment operation.
A statement from the club reads: “The club has conducted a wide-ranging review of its recruitment operation since the appointments of Terry Burton (Technical Director) and Mervyn Day (Head of Recruitment) and has identified new strategies for the future.
“We have reached an amicable parting of the ways with Stuart and Tony both of whom have made a valued contribution to the club’s development during their service.
“They depart with the club’s gratitude and best wishes for their future career paths.
“The club will be announcing further details about its plans for future recruitment in due course.”
