McManaman handed Albion debut

31 January 2015

Three changes from last weekend's FA Cup win

CALLUM McManaman was handed his Albion debut in today's Barclays Premier League clash against Tottenham at The Hawthorns (3pm ko).

The versatile winger, signed from Wigan for an undisclosed fee earlier this week, was named in Tony Pulis's starting XI as the Baggies head coach bid to extend his unbeaten start to five matches.

McManaman's inclusion was one of three changes from last weekend's 2-1 FA Cup victory at neighbours Birmingham - Ben Foster and James Morrison also replaced Boaz Myhill, Craig Gardner and Stephane Sessegnon.

Gardner and Sessegnon were both named on the bench against Spurs although Myhill missed out altogether with a hand injury, meaning highly-rated Academy graduate Jack Rose, who celebrates his 20th birthday today, was among the substitutes.

Albion: Foster, Wisdom, McAuley, Dawson, Lescott, Yacob, Brunt, Morrison, McManaman, Anichebe, Berahino.

Subs: Rose, Pocognoli, Baird, Gardner, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Ideye.

Tottenham: Lloris, Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembele, Mason; Eriksen, Paulinho, Lamela; Kane

Subs: Vorm, Davies, Dier, Chadli, Stambouli, Townsend, Soldado

Referee: Kevin Friend (Leicestershire)
