Campbell bags brace in Under-18 win

16 February 2015

Tahvon Campbell (2), Andre Wright and Josh Ezewele on target

TAHVON Campbell scored twice as Albion’s Under-18s earned an impressive 4-3 win at Brighton on Saturday in the Barclays U18 Premier League.

Andre Wright and Josh Ezewele were also on target for The Baggies, as they produced a fine display down on the south-coast.

Aaron Danks’ men made a blistering start and raced into a 3-0 lead after just 25 minutes.

The opening goal was scored by Tahvon Campbell who slotted past Brighton ‘keeper Vose, after receiving a defence-splitting pass from Phil Gannon.

Kyle Edwards then went on a tricky run down the right-hand side and crossed for Andre Wright, who fired home a second into the top corner from 15-yards-out.

Josh Ezewele put the visitors three up in the 24th minute, with a powerful finish from inside the penalty area.

The hosts pulled one back through a set-piece, but Albion restored their three-goal lead before the break when Campbell raced clear and calmly placed the ball into the far corner.

The Seagulls scored twice in the second-half, but the Baggies were able to hang on and head home with all three points.
