‘Bobby’ one step away from boyhood dream

16 February 2015

Ideye’s impressive recent form continues

AFTER Saturday’s emphatic 4-0 win over West Ham, Albion hotshot Brown Ideye now finds himself just one game away from fulfilling a childhood dream – to play at Wembley Stadium.

The in-form forward made it four goals in three games with a brace against The Hammers, as The Baggies booked a place in the last eight of the FA Cup.

Tony Pulis’s side, who will be ball number four in the hat, will learn their quarter-final opponents when the draw takes place at 7.30pm tonight on BBC One.

And the 26-year-old admits it would be special to play at one of the world’s most famous arenas.

“We are one game away from Wembley,” said the Nigerian.

“It would be a dream come true for me to play there, but we have one more game to win first.

“I have never been to Wembley so I would love to be involved in a game there.

“The best two stadiums in the world for me are Wembley and the Maracana in Brazil, and every player wants to play in the best stadiums.

“I used to watch the FA Cup as a boy back home in Nigeria, so to now be playing in the competition is another dream come true for me.”
