Swans visit The Lamb on Monday evening
ALBION’S Under-21 side will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of losing their first league game since March, when they host Swansea on Monday night (ko 7pm).
The Baggies suffered a 2-1 defeat at West Ham in their most recent fixture, a result which halted their 14-game unbeaten run in the Barclays U21 Premier League division two.
Under-21 boss James Shan wants to see a positive reaction from his players, but admits the encounter against the Swans at Tamworth’s Lamb Ground will be a difficult test.
He said: “The game is a good chance for us to bounce back and put right the things we felt as though we didn’t do properly last week at West Ham.
“We analysed the performance and watched it back, before going out to the training pitch and working on certain areas.
“It is a good chance for us to get back on track.
“We have watched plenty of footage of Swansea and they are a very good side, who play an open, expansive and eye-catching brand of football.
“We beat them earlier in the season, but I thought that we were fortunate to take three points in that game – they were better than us.
“They caused us a few problems by getting in between the lines and with their shape.
“Looking back on their recent games, they seem to have continued to play the same way, so it will be another difficult game for our lads.”
Admission is free for both Tamworth FC and West Bromwich Albion season ticket holders, otherwise it is £5 adults and £1 concessions.
Come on you Baggies!
