Albion boss tells media about Evans' qualities
JONNY Evans was a hot topic of conversation for Tony Pulis during his pre-match briefing with the Sunday newspapers.
The Baggies boss spoke glowingly, not only about the Northern Ireland's performances, but about his high standards, versatility and how he has settled into life at The Hawthorns.
Pulis also gave his views on the Academy systems in this country, bemoaned the lack of elder statesmen involved within youth set-ups throughout English football, his admiration for Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool's title chances.
On Evans, Pulis said:
"He's a great lad...he's come in and we hope he'll be one of the big players for this football club over the next few years.
"His attitude has been first class. He hadn't trained all week before West Ham but I put him in, he played at left back and did a brilliant job.
"Jonny has done very, very well."
