Day one of our Christmas Advent Calendar
Every Albion fan who was at Villa Park on October 22, 2011 won’t forget this moment – Paul Scharner in a display of triumph revealing a club-crested T-shirt created by his children.
You could understand the relish for all in the blue and white stripe camp because Albion hadn’t won at Villa Park since 1979.
But in an eventful game featuring two penalties, one missed, a bizarre red card and three goals, Scharner’s left-foot strike from a 57th-minute corner proved the decisive blow in a 2-1 victory and triggered that memorable image.
Scharner, already a fans' favourite, eventually produced a limited edition replica of the T-shirt which Baggies fans snapped up to raise funds for charity.
And today, well done to Oliver Jones for taking on the challenge of replicating the Austrian star’s famous pose in front of the celebrating visiting fans.
Oliver is joined by Daniel Morris and Josh Brown.
