We must meet the challenge and advance - Peace

10 August 2015

Chairman’s opening day message exclusive to Albion News tonight

CHAIRMAN Jeremy Peace promises “no return to the status quo” in his opening day address to supporters in tonight’s match day programme.

The Chairman, who is entering his 14th season in charge at The Hawthorns, suspended negotiations to sell the club this summer.

And he makes it clear that he intends to take the opportunity to inject fresh momentum into the Club’s Premier League journey.

He writes: “We could not have asked for a more challenging start than the visit of Manchester City - you will not need me to spell out why - but this is very much what the Barclays Premier League is all about in 2015.

“If we wish to remain part of it we have to deal with its demands and continue to advance as a club. That is what we intend to do.”

He is also full of praise for the impact of Head Coach Tony Pulis and confident that under his leadership Albion can make big strides.
