Pulis 'desperate' for cup success

25 August 2015

Head coach keen for Capital One Cup run

TONY Pulis spoke ahead of tonight's Capital One Cup game against Port Vale (8pm kick-off).

Here is what the Albion head coach had to say...

On his Cup ambitions

I've always said the cup competitions are something I take seriously.

I am desperate to win this competition. I'm a big fan of our domestic cup competitions and I want to do well in them.

A cup run is something this club would relish.

On potential line-up changes

We will put a team out that we hope can win and will be competitive.

I will look at the players and see where we are.

Whether we play on Tuesday or Wednesday makes little difference.

The players are fit enough now - they will be capable of doing this, whichever way we look at it.

*SUPPORTERS are urged to arrive early for tonight's game.

Fans are also advised that there will be a minute's silence before all of this week's Capital One Cup games as a mark of respect following the Shoreham air disaster.
