Academy graduate makes switch to the Proact Stadium
LIAM O'Neil has today joined League One side Chesterfield on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.
The versatile midfielder, 22, made a total of five first-team appearances for Albion having joined at the age of 16 and emerged through the club's Academy.
O'Neil made his Baggies debut as a late substitute in the 2-1 victory at Swansea in March 2014 and went to make a total of three Barclays Premier League appearances off the bench in the closing stages of the 2013/14 campaign.
Two Capital One Cup starts followed in the early stages of last season - against Hull and Bournemouth - before he joined Scunthorpe in November on loan until the end of the season, with injury cutting short his stay in late March following an impressive 22 appearances and two goals.
O'Neil worked hard over the summer to regain full fitness and featured on the club's pre-season tour of the USA, although he has not featured for the first team in 2015/16.
Everyone at West Bromwich Albion would like to wish Liam all the very best for the future.
