Revamped site almost ready for unveiling
ALBION'S Fanzone project is set for a traditional opening before The Hawthorns clash against Southampton on September 12.
The Club are in the final stages of getting the revamped site ready for its unveiling while also continuing negotiations with a High Street retail bakery chain to lease the famous Hawthorns Hotel.
And Albion are hopeful that they will have a traditional setting for its grand opening.
“All through the process we have wanted a 3pm, Saturday afternoon fixture for the FanZone’s unveiling and the Southampton match gives us our first opportunity,” says Chief Executive Mark Jenkins.
“It is timely. We are still putting the finishing touches to make the site safe while we hopefully reach an agreement on the renovated hotel. That is looking fantastic and will be a real centre-piece for the FanZone.”
Albion plan to have six concession points on the site, two of which will be licensed while also including a club retail unit.
There are plans for live music, stage presentations and match by match displays which the Club will up date on as the grand unveiling nears.
