Fit-again winger hopes for first-team return
CALLUM McManaman is confident he is finally over his heel problems after completing an hour's worth of football earlier this week.
The winger featured in the opening 62 minutes of Albion's Birmingham Senior Cup game against Nuneaton.
McManaman has had a tough time since his January move from Wigan Athletic having struggled with the heel problem he first sustained during training.
But he hopes Tuesday night's run-out will strengthen his chances of featuring against Crystal Palace this Saturday.
“I felt good out there, my heel felt good and my foot was alright too," said McManaman.
“It was great to get some minutes under my belt.
“I am feeling fine after the game so I am pleased.
“Hopefully I play force my way into the team, as long as everything goes well with my recovery with my heel and my foot.
“If I can come through that then everything should be fine
“Saturday is massive for both the team and myself, we still need another win or two to guarantee safety so we are hoping to find that in the next five or six games."
