Albion midfielder sets 40-point target
CRAIG Gardner is plotting more goals after scoring a beauty in Albion's 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.
The midfielder has now scored in back to back games but is looking to add more strikes during the final few games.
And Gardner feels there is still work to do.
Albion might look in a comfortable position to the outside world - but within the camp the only target is to reach 40 points.
About his goal, Gardner said: “I’ve hit a few like that in my career and I normally get a couple a season like that.
“That’s one so hopefully I can get another.
“It’s up there as one of the most important I’ve scored because it was a massive win.
“It was important that we got that result."
Asked whether Albion were now safe, Gardner continued: “No, 36 points is not enough. We want to get to that 40 point and achieve what we set out to.
“We set a target of 40 points and we’re nearly there now so we need to work hard in the last five games to achieve that."
