Albion's matchday magazine - but not as you know it
SEPTEMBER 2nd 1905 saw the beginning of a brave new world at this football club when, for the visit of Burnley at the start of a new Second Division campaign, we issued the first ever Albion News, our matchday programme.
Time waits for no man and in the digital age, the idea of printed “news” is becoming a thing of the past.
It’s a development that we’ve noted here at The Hawthorns and, for several seasons now, the programme has been less about news, less about the game in hand, and been more an Albion magazine that just happens to come out every matchday.
Packed with features, interviews, history, club culture, a sense of identity and some top class punditry, it’s an all round Albion experience that no fan can afford to be without. Because if your religion is the Albion, then this is your Bible.
In order to help get that message across, we are relaunching the programme at the start of next season and so, on matchdays, no longer will you be looking for Albion News. Instead, you will be picking up your copy of Full Throstle.
Everything you wanted to know about the Albion but were afraid to ask.
And you think we're joking...?
You know it makes sense.
