Mulumbu: We showed 'real face'

Matchwinner on Swansea victory (also free video)

YOUSSOUF Mulumbu says he was proud of his team as they came from behind at half-time to beat Swansea 2-1 – and insisted: “That was the real face of West Brom.”

The DR Congo international fired a last-gasp winner – his second goal of the campaign - to secure only the Baggies’ second away win of the season.

And he has now urged his 16th-placed team-mates to use their Liberty Stadium second-half performance as the benchmark for the remaining nine games.

“To score was a great feeling but the most important thing was winning the game,” said Mulumbu.

“We conceded an early goal, which made things really hard.

“But at half-time we talked about being positive, staying in the game and we came back well.

“I’m very proud of my team today because we showed great mentality and a positive attitude.

“It’s a good game to keep as a reference and now we will go to Hull City, hopefully stay focussed and have the same positive attitude.

“Today in the second half I saw a great team – and the real face of West Brom.”
