University of Wolverhampton extends deal with Albion

Successful partnership to continue into 2017

ALBION are delighted to announce the University of Wolverhampton has extended its association with the club by a further three years, retaining its partner status until the end of the 2016/17 season.

The university is now a major player in the UK higher education sector, contributing to knowledge transfer, economic development, wealth creation and social justice.

The University of Wolverhampton joined forces with the club at the start of the 2013/14 season and has since benefitted from worldwide exposure through LED advertising at Hawthorns fixtures and matchday hospitality throughout the campaign.

Albion’s sales and marketing director Adrian Wright said: “The University of Wolverhampton is a renowned educational establishment.

“The fact the university has signed on for a further three seasons illustrates not only the power of being associated with a Premier League club but also the success of our relationship.

“We look forward to working with the university to help it realise its aims during the new season and beyond.”

Professor Ian Oakes, deputy vice-chancellor at the University of Wolverhampton, added: "The University of Wolverhampton and West Bromwich Albion FC have a huge presence both in the region and overseas so this is an ideal partnership for us.

“It will benefit not only our local communities and the region, but will also provide placement and internship opportunities for our students and graduates."
