ALBION have announced the winners of Goran Popov iPhone covers following a competition on the club’s official website.
Lewis Beardmore of West Bromwich, Dave Whitton of Moseley, Sue Skitt of Gornal Wood, Vicki Brett of Great Barr, Kate Ashley of Perry Barr and Andrew Whitehouse of Stourbridge, correctly answered spinach is the tinned vegetable eaten by Popeye to boost his strength.
The six lucky winners were selected at random from hundreds of entries and will each receive either an iPhone 4 or iPhone 5 depending on their preference.
The Macedonia international kindly donated the covers, which depict him as ‘Popeye the Sailor Man’, after Albion fans honoured him with a chant to the tune of the popular cartoon.
