Mozza looking for cup fillip

And midfielder urges team-mates to take positives from Reading clash

JAMES Morrison is relishing the chance to put Saturday’s gut-wrenching 3-2 Barclays Premier League defeat at Reading behind him in tonight’s FA Cup third-round replay with QPR (ko 8pm).

The injury-hit Baggies looked on course to pull off a first-ever win at the Madejski Stadium only to be rocked by three Royals goals in the final nine minutes.

But Morrison has urged his team-mates not to forget about the positives that saw them go two goals up as they look to steer their way to a fourth-round home tie with MK Dons or Sheffield Wednesday.

“We were missing seven key players on Saturday, which is a lot to ask, but we dealt with it really well,” said the Albion midfielder, who scored the opener in October's 3-2 home league win over the R's.

“Let’s not forget, we played really well on Saturday away from home.

“It could have been four or five before they scored and we need to take that into the derby on Saturday, which is a cracking game for the players and the fans.

“Before that there is also the cup and cup runs are always special.

“The chance to play at Wembley is a big incentive and that’s what we’ve got to aim for.

“As a player you always look back on the cup runs as good memories.

“We’re looking forward to the game.

“It will probably take our minds off Saturday’s game.

“Let’s focus on the cup and take each game as it comes.

“We’ll also be looking to put things right at home after the Fulham result.

“If we can score some goals and keep a clean sheet it will give our confidence a boost.”
