Brown bags first England goal

And see how other Academy products fared on international duty

ALBION’S Isaiah Brown last night scored his first England goal as the Under-16s finished on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller against Germany.

The Hawthorns’ Academy product opened the scoring in the Cologne friendly and played 90 minutes.

The Young Lions went ahead three times, only to be pegged back on each occasion before eventually losing to a 74th-minute strike.

Fellow Baggie Callum Jones played in each of England Under-17s’ three games in the Algarve Tournament between February 8 and 12, suffering narrow one-goal defeats to Germany (2-1), Portugal (2-1) and Holland (1-0).

Bradley Garmston played 90 minutes of the Republic of Ireland Under-19s 1-1 friendly draw with Czech Republic in Longford last week.
