Second-half Roofe effort earns Baggies a point

ALBION fought back from a goal behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Wolves in the Barclays U21 Premier League at Molineux this evening.

Kemar Roofe’s second-half strike levelled the scores after Lee Evans’ header put Wanderers ahead before the break.

The result leaves the Baggies three points behind their Black Country neighbours at the foot of the Elite Group table.

And development coach David Oldfield was pleased with his side's much-improved performance.

“It was an improved performance by the team and I feel we defended with more intensity," said Oldfield.

“We had a better overall work ethic and I felt we passed the ball much better.

“Kemar finished off a really well worked move to score the goal and I was pleased with the overall team effort.”
