Clarke makes two changes - one enforced

BILLY Jones is handed his first Barclays Premier League start of the season as Steve Clarke makes two changes – one enforced.

The former Preston man replaces Steven Reid, who has failed to overcome a hamstring problem in time for the Craven Cottage encounter, at right-back.

Peter Odemwingie is restored to the starting line-up as he replaces the benched Graham Dorrans.

Romelu Lukaku is named among the substitutes after missing the last two games due to an ankle injury.

Deadline-day loan signing Goran Popov misses out altogether due to a groin problem.

Martin Jol makes three changes to the Cottagers side that lost 3-0 at West Ham a fortnight ago.

Chris Baird comes in for Mahamadou Diarra, who misses out altogether, while Dimitar Berbatov is handed his home debut and Hugo Rodallega starts in place of absent duo Kieran Richardson and Mladen Petric.
