Lukaku and Long start together for first time

ROMELU Lukaku and Shane Long start a game together for the first time as Steve Clarke makes four changes to the side that beat Southampton 2-0 on Monday.

Boaz Myhill is handed his first Barclays Premier League start in almost 21 months as he replaces the injured Ben Foster (groin) in goal.

Clarke has also opted for a different formation as he switches to 4-4-2, with James Morrison returning from injury, after missing the Saints clash, and Chris Brunt promoted from the bench.

The other men to make way are Peter Odemwingie, Graham Dorrans and Zoltan Gera, who are among the substitutes.

Roberto Martinez names an unchanged Latics team to the one that beat Tottenham 1-0 last weekend.

WIGAN (3-4-3): Al Habsi; Ramis, Caldwell, Figueroa; Boyce, Watson, McCarthy, Beausejour; Maloney, Kone, Di Santo. Subs: Pollitt (gk), Jones, Gomez, McManaman, Boselli, Fyvie, Stam.
