John Williams, Chairman
John Williams was appointed Albion Chairman following the change of ownership in August 2016 and on the specific recommendation of outgoing chairman and owner Jeremy Peace.
He gave up his role as chairman of the referees' body, the Professional Game Match Officials, to take on The Hawthorns role but was no stranger to a Premier League hot seat.
Williams served as chairman and chief executive at Blackburn Rovers having been appointed to the board in 1997 and then promoted to in 1998.
With Williams at the helm, Rovers enjoyed notable success, winning promotion back to the Premier League in the 2000-01 season followed by 10 consecutive campaigns in the Premier League and qualification to the UEFA cup (Europa League) three times in five years. There was a League cup victory in 2002 and two FA cup semi finals in 2005 and 2007.
Williams resigned his position as Chairman in February 2011 and was appointed to PGMOL in 2014.
