The Baggies Cycle Challenge is back for 2024 – can you conquer it?
The Albion Foundation are proud to announce next year’s cycling challenge: a 160-mile bike ride from Rotherham back to The Hawthorns in April 2024.
The Baggies Bike Challenge is now in its tenth year, and we are appealing for supporters to join us and help raise funds for the Foundation as we strive to continue our award-winning work in the community.
The challenge will kick off on Monday, April 8, 2024 returning to The Hawthorns in time for the evening game against Rotherham on Wednesday, April 10. Riders will cycle from Rotherham’s New York Stadium back to the Black Country via the Peak District, backed by a support team who will be on hand to assist with any mechanicals.
- Monday, April 8: Meet at The Hawthorns to travel to Rotherham and cycle 40 miles to Buxton
- Tuesday, April 9: Cycle from Buxton to Burton upon Trent, 60 miles approx
- Wednesday, April 10: Cycle from Burton upon Trent to The Hawthorns, 60 miles approx
We are inviting supporters, cyclists and volunteers to join us on this journey. All that we ask in return is that you raise funds for the trip that will enable The Albion Foundation to continue its fantastic work within the local community.
You will need to pay a £100 deposit to secure your place on the ride, which will cover transportation to Rotherham, accommodation and lunches during the event. You will then need to raise a minimum of £600 in sponsorship to take part in the Challenge. Any funds raised over this amount would be gratefully received by The Albion Foundation.
