JAMES McClean became Albion's first signing of the summer in 2015.

*The Republic of Ireland international joined for an undisclosed fee from Wigan Athletic, penning a three-year deal with a 12-month option in the Club's favour.

*The winger made his Baggies debut in the opening game of the Club’s 2015/16 Barclays Premier League campaign, a home defeat against Manchester City.

*Derry-born McClean established himself with his hometown club between 2008-11 before alerting the attention of Sunderland and duly joining the north-east club in August 2011.

*McClean’s impressive form for Sunderland – where he played alongside Craig Gardner and Stephane Sessegnon - saw him capped by the Republic of Ireland at senior level despite representing Northern Ireland’s Under-21 side.

*He was included in Giovanni Trapattoni’s Euro 2012 squad, where he made one substitute appearance as the Republic of Ireland bowed out in the group stages.

*McClean signed for Wigan in the summer of 2013 and, lining up in the same squad as Callum McManaman, made his bow in the FA Community Shield final at Wembley where the Latics lost 2-0 to Manchester United.

*By the time of his arrival at The Hawthorns, McClean has been capped 30 times by Ireland and hit the net four times.
