KEMAR Roofe was rewarded for his progress by signing his first professional contract on January 4, 2012.

The Academy product penned a deal to keep him at The Hawthorns until June 2013, with a further year's option in the club's favour.

Roofe has twice been named in an Albion first-team squad - but is yet to feature as a substitute.

Then-head coach Roy Hodgson selected Roofe for trips to Bournemouth and Manchester City during the 2011/12 campaign.

Walsall-born Roofe overcame a serious hernia-related injury he sustained during the 2009/10 season and has gone from strength to strength.

He fired a stunning hat-trick in pre-season 2011 to secure a 3-2 win at Kidderminster Harriers and has been a regular for Baggies reserves this term.

He is an attacking and creative player, who is part of Albion's 'development squad'.
