Posted on: Fri 27 May 2011

WE get up-and-coming striker Lateef Elford-Alliyu to randomly pick 15 questions from our selection of 40 posers:

Q1: If you could buy a ticket to any event in the world, what would it be?

LEA: The World Cup Final, any teams, I wouldn't mind.

Q6: What was your favourite childhood game/toy?

LEA: I'm not really a gamer but I used to play Super Mario a lot.

Q8: What has been your most embarrassing moment?

LEA: I was playing for Tranmere against MK Dons and one of their players just pushed me to the floor out of nowhere. The fans started laughing straight away and that was pretty embarrassing, I just carried on playing.

Q9: Who would play you in the film of your life?

LEA: If I am not allowed to say me I'd pick my older brother Teslim, he's 23, and knows me very well.

Q13: Who was your first ever 11-a-side football match for and what position did you play?

LEA: It was for my old team back in Nigeria, Challenge FC. I played as a number 10 behind the striker, as I was only about ten and played against older boys. I scored a lot.

Q15: What was your best and worst subject at school?

LEA: My best was business studies and worst was science. I was quite good at school but science had so many exams that I didn't think I'd pass so didn't do the GSCE at all.

Q16: Would you rather be a Cowboy or a Red Indian?

LEA: Neither. I'm not bothered either way.

Q21: What's your most treasured possession?

LEA: My car, it's an Astra. It's not brand new but it's new to me and it's my first car.

Pick a number...

Q25: Property aside, what's the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

LEA: It would be my car, especially as I've already had to take it to be fixed.

Q26: What was the first record you ever bought?

LEA: I don't buy CDs and download all my music. The first single I would have downloaded was 'Dear Mama' by 2Pac.

Q30: When was the last time you used public transport?

LEA: A couple of months ago my car broke down so after I took it to the garage I caught the bus into the training ground.

Q32. What is your greatest achievement in football?

LEA: Being signed as a professional by West Bromwich Albion.

Q33: What's your favourite computer game?

LEA: I don't really have one but I play on the PlayStation 3 a bit.

Q35: Do you own any pets?

LEA: I am not big on animals and I am a bit scared of dogs so I don't have any and don't want any.

Q40: If you were cooking to impress, what would you cook?

LEA: I am quite a good cook but not when I am under pressure. I would probably cook something Nigerian, like' jollof rice'.
