THE ULTIMATE SIX-PACK: George Thorne

Posted on: Tue 27 Apr 2010

WE are putting past and present Baggies players, plus the coaching staff, through a spot of body building this season.

In our feature for the 2009/10 campaign, Roberto Di Matteo's men have been handed the task of creating the 'Ultimate Six-Pack'.

They will receive a list of six body parts and for each one must name a player they consider to have excelled with that physical attribute.

To round off the season we speak to rising star George Thorne:

1. Head:

GT: Chelsea's John Terry. He heads everything. He's solid. If there is anything to be won he will go and head it regardless of what's in front of him. He's brave.

2. Eyes (vision):

GT: Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas. He spots passes other people can't and always seems to pull them off.

3. Hands:

GT: Chelsea's Petr Cech. I think he has got good hands considering he is 6ft4in. He has got great reflexes, stands up well and makes himself look big. He doesn't really get beaten that much.

4. Legs (stamina):

GT: Darren Fletcher. He just seems to run everywhere. Whenever I watch Manchester United he seems to be all over the pitch. He's not a headline player but he seems to cover two players' job.

5. Right foot:

GT: David Beckham, which speaks for itself.

6. Left foot:

GT: Lionel Messi. You just can't tackle him. It's ridiculous! It will be interesting to see him in the World Cup and whether he can have the same impact for Argentina as he does for Barcelona.
