THE ULTIMATE SIX-PACK: Giles Barnes

Posted on: Wed 07 Apr 2010

WE are putting past and present Baggies players, plus the coaching staff, through a spot of body building this season.

In our feature for the 2009/10 campaign, Roberto Di Matteo's men have been handed the task of creating the 'Ultimate Six-Pack'.

They will receive a list of six body parts and for each one must name a player they consider to have excelled with that physical attribute.

This week, midfield ace Giles Barnes gives his verdict:

1. Head:

GB: Nemanja Vidic. He puts his head in places where most people will not put their feet.

2. Eyes (vision):

GB: Zinedine Zidane. His vision was mad!

3. Hands:

GB: Peter Schmeichel. That speaks for itself. Also, Mark Schwarzer. I didn't really know how good Schwarzer was until I trained with at Fulham. He was unbelievable. I always used to make sure I was on Schwarzer's team in training. In games - he was good!

4. Legs (stamina):

GB: Patrick Vieira at his best. He was box to box and he never gives you a minute's rest.

5. Right foot:

GB: Zinedine Zidane again. I don't really need to elaborate on that.

6. Left foot:

GB: Roberto Carlos' left-foot. I don't think there has been a better striker of the ball with their left foot.
