FILIPE Teixeira sealed a £600,000 move from Portuguese outfit Academica de Coimbra in July 2007.
The classy midfielder penned a three-year Baggies contract, plus a further year's option in the club's favour.
Teixeira joined Barnsley on a month-long loan on February 1, 2010, after being restricted to one start and eight substitute appearances in the league this term.
Teixeira took little time adapting to the English game and his twinkle-toed displays and eye for a goal soon made him a crowd favourite.
However, his season was brought to an end in March 2008 by a cruciate ligament injury suffered at home to Plymouth.
He finally made his comeback as a substitute on his Barclays Premier League debut in a 3-0 defeat at Liverpool eight months later.
But a series of niggling injuries therefater restricted him to just one league start at Fulham last term and nine sub appearances.
Born in Paris, Teixeira started his career at Portuguese Third Division side Felgueiras in 2000 before sealing a deal with French Ligue One club Istres the following season.
He joined PSG in 2002 where he played alongside Brazilian superstar Ronaldinho before returning to Portugal on loan at Uniao de Leira.
The former Portugal Under-21 international signed for Academica in 2005.
