LUKE Daniels joined Bristol Rovers on a season-long loan in July 2010, but his spell was cut short before the season started due a back injury and the agreement between the clubs was cancelled by mutual consent.
After overcoming his injury he had brief loan spells at Charlton, Rochdale and he eventually made nine appearances for the Pirates between January and May.
The keeper, who enjoyed a successful year on loan at Tranmere in the 2009/10 season, was rewarded with a one-year extension to his contract the following summer.
Daniels, a product of the club's Academy, is now committed to the Baggies until 2012, with the club also having a further one-year's option.
He has yet to make his senior debut for Albion but spent a successful season on loan at League Two Shrewsbury in the 2008/09 season, where he gained valuable first-team experience.
The Baggies keeper played a starring role in the Shrews' play-off semi-final second-leg against Bury, making a crucial 31st-minute penalty save before pulling off two stops in a successful penalty shoot-out.
Daniels was in fine form in the Wembley final but could do nothing about Gillingham's last-gasp winner.
He also enjoyed a successful loan spell at SPL outfit Motherwell towards the end of the 2007/08 campaign.
The young keeper, who sealed his first professional contract the previous July, joined the Baggies in 2004 after being released by Manchester United.
He had spent seven years at Old Trafford before being offered a trial at Albion.
His form between the sticks for the reserves saw him make his international debut for England Under-18s in a 2-1 win over Slovenia in April 2006.
With Luke Steele out on loan, Daniels spent most of the second half of the 2006/07 season on the bench, playing understudy to Dean Kiely.
