ZUIVERLOON joined Albion from Dutch top-flight outfit Heerenveen in a £3.2million deal, in July 2008.
The Holland Under-21 international penned a three-year Baggies contract, plus a further year's option in the club's favour.
The versatile right-back became one of Albion's most expensive signings.
Last season he found increased competition for his place in the team from new signing Gonzalo Jara.
And the arrival of Steven Reid on loan for the final two months of the campaign saw him relegated to the bench.
Zuiverloon enjoyed his most productive season in front of goal though as he netted four times - including a crucial equaliser in February's 1-1 draw at Cardiff.
His Albion debut, which came in a 2-1 defeat by Everton, was delayed until his return from Holland's Olympics campaign in Beijing.
He took to Barclays Premier League life like a duck to water.
But he faded mid-season, with then-boss Tony Mowbray suggesting his summer action was taking its toll on him.
Nonetheless, Zuiverloon started 33 of the Baggies' 38 top-flight games and he scored his first-ever goal for the club in February's 3-1 FA Cup fourth-round replay defeat at Burnley.
He played in all-but four of Heerenveen's 34 league games during the 2007/08 season, scoring twice to help them finish fifth in Eredivisie - Holland's Premier division - and book a UEFA Cup place.
He had 17 Under-21 caps under his belt when he signed for the Baggies and was named in the 'UEFA Team of the Tournament' after helping the Netherlands retain the Under-21s European Championships title on Dutch soil in 2007.
He even scored the winning 32nd spot-kick past England's Scott Carson in an epic semi-final penalty shoot-out in front of his home crowd at the Abe Lenstra stadium.
Zuiverloon was part of Holland's Under-20 squad at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championships, and the Under-21s' side at the 2006 Toulon Tournament.
The Rotterdam-born ace came through the youth ranks at Feyenoord and was handed his professional debut by then-boss Ruud Gullit in August 2004.
He joined RKC Waalwijk on loan the following season to gain first-team experience before signing for Heerenveen in June 2006.
Prior to his move to England Zuiverloon had made 99 career league appearances, including 14 as a substitute, scoring four times.
