PICK A NUMBER: Michael Nardiello
HAVE you got a head for figures?
Well, in our weekly feature for the 2007/08 season, we find out whether the Albion players and coaching staff have.
Every Tuesday, a member of the Baggies camp will randomly pick 15 questions to answer from a colourful selection of 40 puzzlers.
We will then put them under the spotlight.
Today, we quiz young hotshot Michael Nardiello.
Q1: If you could buy a ticket to any event in the world, what would it be?
MN: It would be the Joe Calzaghe fight coming in April, in Las Vegas. I would love to go and see that. I'm quite a big fan of boxing.
Q9: Who would play you in the film of your life?
MN: I'd say Adam Sandler because he is a funny guy and I like him as an actor. I guess the film of my life would be a comedy if he was the lead.
Q14: What is your favourite other sport?
MN: As I just mentioned I like boxing. I watch the pay-per-view events whenever they come up. I watched the Ricky Hatton fight, and the Floyd Mayweather fight recently.I used to do a bit of boxing when I was younger but there came a time when I had I to choose between boxing and football, and I obviously chose football.
Q25: Property aside, what is the most expensive thing you have bought?
MN: I don't really buy expensive stuff. I did get a PS3 recently so I would say that.
Q33: What is your favourite computer game?
MN: I've always liked 'Grand Theft Auto'. I'm looking forward to the new one coming out on the PS3 in a few months.
Q29: What is your favourite item of clothing?
MN: Well, I went out at the weekend in this new waistcoat with a shirt and I thought I looked pretty sharp. But I got a bit of stick off my mates. Even so, I'd probably say that's my favourite item at the moment because it's new!
Q40: If you were cooking to impress, what dish would you select?
MN: I cannot cook at all! If I could I might have to stick to a chicken pasta dish or something easy like that. For dessert I would try to make a sticky toffee pudding with custard. I would eat that any day of the week.

Q5: If you were Prime Minister, what one change to the country would you make?
MN: Without a doubt, lowering taxes to make it easier for everyone. Everything is so expensive at the moment.
Q13: Who was your first-ever 11-a-side football match for and in what position?
MN: It was for a team called Willow Wanderers, which is a great name by the way, back home in Torquay. It was a new team and in one of the first games I played we lost about 23-1. But as I played up front and scored the one, my parents said I was pretty pleased with myself. I started playing football quite late so I think I was about 12.
Q20: What would your superpower be?
MN: I watched that film called 'Jumper' recently and he can teleport anywhere in the world. I thought that was quality I definitely want to teleport.
Q35: Do you own any pets?
MN: Back home I have got a hamster called 'Turkish'. I called it Turkish because I had just watched the film 'Snatch' when I got him so I named him after the character played by Jason Statham because I like him.
Q36: What is your favourite goal you have scored/save you have made?
MN: It was when I played for the England Under-18's about two seasons ago. We were playing Portugal in the Montague Tournament and I scored the last minute equaliser in a 3-3 draw, which was pretty important because we needed that point to get us through to the next round. We ended up losing in the semi-finals but it was great to get that far particularly as my mom, dad and younger brother had come over to watch me play.
Q21: What is your most treasured possession?
MN: It's got to be my family back home - definitely. We are a really close family and I don't get to see them too much. But when we all get together we have a really nice time and we just have a laugh really.
Q8: What has been your most embarrassing moment?
MN: The training ground has quite a thin wall between our dressing room and club's media department office. I was singing Madison Avenue's song 'Don't Call Me Baby', but instead of baby I was singing Nardy. So basically I was singing a song about myself and they heard every word. That was pretty embarrassing and they don't let me forget it!
Q26: What was the first record you ever bought?
MN: It was the single by the group Cornershop called 'Brimful of Asha'. I got it for Christmas off my mom and dad one year.
