PICK A NUMBER: Kevin Phillips
HAVE you got a head for figures?
Well, in our weekly feature for the 2007/08 season, we find out whether the Albion players and coaching staff have.
Every Tuesday, a member of the Baggies camp will randomly pick 15 questions to answer from a colourful selection of 40 puzzlers.
We will then put them under the spotlight.
Today, we quiz hotshot Kevin Phillips.
Q2: What is your favourite ice-cream?
KP: Vanilla. No real reason why, I just like the standard vanilla ice-cream.
Q6: What was your favourite childhood game/toy?
KP: I really liked Mousetrap. I still play it with the kids now but theirs is a bit of a better version than mine.
Q12: What is your favourite colour?
KP: I really like blue. No particular shade, I just like all kinds of blue.
Q14: What is your favourite other sport?
KP: Golf. I like to play it and I watch it quite a lot too.
Q17: Which team did you support as a boy?
KP: As a very younger boy I supported Tottenham Hotspur. Then strangely enough I changed over to Arsenal, because they were the first team I saw play football live. I'm still a fan of them now.
Q19: What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
KP: It would have been a kids film, I can't remember and it wasn't that long ago! It was probably 'Surf's Up'. It was okay, but I wouldn't pick it normally.
Q21: What is your most treasured possession?
KP: It would be my European Golden boot for the 1999/2000 season. It means a lot to me.
Q23: What keeps you awake at night?
KP: Other than the kids! They aren't too bad now really. Not much keeps me awake, other than after a game. I can never sleep after a game. It doesn't matter if we've won drawn or lost, whether I scored or haven't scored. I can just never sleep. I think it's probably the adrenalin.
Q25: Property aside, what is the most expensive thing you have bought?

KP: A Rolex watch. I'll have that for life now and it's a classic that I can pass down to my kids.
Q27: Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
KP: 'Pack it in' and 'Stop telling on each other' to my kids. I say those a lot.
Q28: Who was your hero as a youngster?
KP: It was Maradona when I was growing. He was the best player in the world at the time, and he was a small man. Just like myself, so I looked up to him!
Q30: When was the last time you used public transport?
KP: It was about six years ago when me and Julie got on a bus. We went for lunch at a pub, and even though we only lived about three-quarters-of-a-mile away we just decided to get the bus home. People were giving us strange looks when we got on!
Q31: Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?
KP: I would ask the Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Tiger Woods and Maradona. I would just like to see what they all have to say. I think that would be interesting.
Q35: Do you own any pets?
KP: I've got two dogs, Clyde and Oscar. Clyde is a Boxer and he is about eleven, which is good for a dog and Oscar is a Bullmastiff and he is nearly three.
Q40: If you were cooking to impress, what dish would you select?
KP: I'd have to do some kind of steak dish with a pepper sauce, Dauphine potatoes with some sort of vegetables. For dessert it would have to be apple crumble with custard - classic!
