Hawthorns now a smoke-free zone

The Hawthorns

ALBION are reminding fans The Hawthorns is NOW a smoke-free zone.

Last October, the club announced they would be extending their non-smoking policy, which was already in operation in the East Stand, to the Halfords Lane Stand from the start of the 2006/07 season.

This was with a view to the entire stadium becoming a smoke-free zone thereafter.

However, after the announcement, Albion were inundated with letters from supporters not only welcoming the move but backing the club's intention to introduce a complete smoking ban at The Hawthorns.

The feedback from fans prompted Albion to bring forward their plans and the club announced in December that a smoking ban will come into force in ALL areas of the stadium from this season onwards.

From now on, smoking will only be permitted outside the stadium but the club will be unable to issue 'pass-outs' at any time once supporters have entered the ground.
