DAN Ashworth is in no doubt Luke Moore's desire for football is still burning following head-to-head talks with the striker.
The Baggies' Sporting and Technical Director insists he is keen to go out on loan to the Championship to get regular game time after being left out of Albion's 25-man Barclays Premier League squad.
And Ashworth confirmed there has been interest from other clubs in Moore.
"For people that are inherently shy, body language is a difficult thing," he said.
"I don't think you can judge him by that sort of criteria.
"Just because he doesn't roll his sleeves up, shout at the crowd and shake his fists doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't want it and he's not motivated to be a professional footballer.
"Luke still wants to play professional football - I've had that conversation with him.
"What he doesn't want to do is sit and not play for 12 months.
"He wants to go out and play football."
Ashworth added: "The emergency transfer window is open.
"We've had some interest for Luke but not a firm offer.
"All the Championship clubs will be looking at all the players not named in Premier League squads, knowing they're available for loan.
"Luke played a big part in the first half of our season but from Christmas we changed our formation, Roman Bednar became available again and Ishmael Miller came back towards the end of the season.
"Before Christmas he was a part of the team that was never out of the top three."
